A note from our DJ:

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Juan Zafra also known as DJ LS. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to be the DJ for the event held in Miami. I am a big Michael Jackson Fan and admire everything he has done. I believe Thrill The World is an extraordinary event considering the logistics involved while at the same time supporting and helping our communities world wide! I can't wait until Oct 24th, 2009 so that we may make history. I know our event in Miami will be a huge success and our zombies are usually the best, considering some of the best dancers originate from South Florida. Again I am honored and very thankful for the opportunity. I am posting a link to a tribute mix I made of Michael's top hits, all original tracks. It's free to download and listen. Enjoy and see you Oct 24th.

IF YOU WANT TO GET MORE MUSIC OR INFORMATION ABOUT DJ LS YOU CAN CHECK ME OUT ON FACEBOOK AT http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=112262967986&ref=mf#/group.php?gid=112262967986&ref=mf

ABOUT THRILL THE WORLD
Thrill the World was started by Ines Markelle in Canada in 2006. It is the annual worldwide dance of Michael Jackson’s Thriller for records and charity. A tribute to Michael Jackson since 2006. Last year, they set a new world record with the Record Holders Republic, with 4,179 people from 10 nations simultaneously performing the Thriller dance. This year, Miami is joining in on the fun. We will be dressing like zombies and dancing like Michael to raise funds for a local no-kill animal shelter.

RETURN
We are bringing in 50 or more dancers who are dressing in zombie costumes and attending the event at Mary Brickell Village the weekend before Halloween. While we expect a majority of those in attendance to be in their 30s, there will be a variety of demographics. The audience would be interested in trips, going out, costuming, Halloween events, spa treatments and other such items.

PACKAGES
Undead Sponsorship

Sponsor will have name on all fliers, posters, websites, media releases, and have the opportunity to have a company representative present at the event in order to display products and/or promote the company or organization. DONATIONS & RAFFLE PRIZES
The raffle is an important element in the fund raising goal of the event. All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to our local no-kill animal shelter. We hope to offer a variety of quality items that would appeal to the expected audience including music, jewelry, event tickets, spa or salon packages, restaurant and retail gift cards, as well as any other appropriate items.
Where and When: We intend on raffling the items at the event before the dance begins as well as promote the raffles through Facebook. Target Audience: 100+- people from a variety of backgrounds.

Monday, July 6, 2009

We now return to our regular programming...

It's been about a year and a half since I discovered the Thrill The World event. I was all set to do this and then I got pregnant with my little guy and that went out the window. With the recent death of Michael Jackson, one of my favorite artists, I was quickly reminded that I had left this zombie-dance-fest on the back burner. I'd really like to do it this year, so time to pick up my little project and get the gears in motion.

Dust off your dancing shoes and join me this year on Saturday Oct 24 at 8:30 pm.

Even if you have two left feet and don't like to dance, I could still use you in other supportive roles (music, video, photography, fund raising, secretary, treasurer, media liason, witness, location scout, sugar daddy, lollipop holder, shoe shiner, mime, etc), so don't let your dancing allergies stop you from joining in on the fun.

I will post more information as it becomes availble. In the meantime, click on the Thriller teaching videos link over on the right and start learning the dance!
